Transfer news LIVE! Arsenal want Raphinha and Torres; Chelsea to spend £100m more; Spurs in Porro talks

With Arsenal having officially lost out to Chelsea on the Mykhaylo Mudryk signing, the January transfer window is expected to spring into life. Mikel Arteta, whose side beat Tottenham on Sunday to extend their lead atop the Premier League, is keen on a wide forward and could now turn attentions to Barcelona pair Raphinha and Ferran Torres during what remains of the window.

Over at Stamford Bridge, meanwhile, the spending is not expected to stop. Even with Mudryk through the door, there are claims the Todd Boehly-Clearlake Capital regime are ready to invest a further £100m into Graham Potter’s side as doubts about Raheem Sterling’s future emerge.

While Spurs aren’t thought to be in line for such spending, Antonio Conte’s side continue to be linked with Sporting right-back Pedro Porro and transfer talks over the Spain international are reportedly set. Follow all of the latest news, gossip and rumors below!

Conte told he ‘can’t complain’ at Tottenham after spending over £170m

Jamie Redknapp insists Antonio Conte “can’t complain” at Tottenham after spending over £170m since May.

The Italian saw his side easily beaten by bitter rivals Arsenal at home on Sunday, underling a dramatic turnaround in fortunes since their meeting eight months ago.

Spurs pipped the Gunners to the final Champions League spot last season, thanks in large part to a 3-0 win over Mikel Arteta’s side at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium towards the end of the campaign.

Chelsea told to make move to sign Harry Kane

Chelsea, seemingly always on the lookout for more new signings at the moment, have been told to move for Tottenham star Harry Kane by Glen Johnson.

The England captain has entered the final 12 months of his contract in north London and, with Spurs struggling, Kane’s long-term future has been called into question.

Speaking to Betfred, Johnson said: “I think pretty much any team would benefit from signing him. Who needs him most right now? Probably Chelsea. Making a move from Tottenham to Chelsea is a big call but I can’t really see him ending up there if I’m being honest.

“Let’s face it, if he stays at Tottenham then he’s not winning anything and it would be a shame for a player of his ability to have a career where he doesn’t win anything.

“He’s a legend at Tottenham, so would he want to ruin his status by moving to another team in London? I’m not sure. It would probably be easier for him to move to a club outside of London.”

West Ham launch £25m move for Moffi as David Moyes clings on for now

West Ham have made a bid worth up to £25million for Lorient forward Terem Moffi, as David Moyes battles to save his job, writes Malik Ouzia.

The Hammers find themselves in the relegation zone at the midway stage of the following season’s Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at Wolves – a sixth in seven League games either side of the World Cup.

The club’s hierarchy have so far been strong in backing their manager and Moyes is expected to remain in charge for next weekend’s crucial home meeting with fellow strugglers Everton, where Frank Lampard’s position as manager appears even more precarious.

Crystal Palace launch fresh bid to sign Conor Gallagher

Despite an excellent loan at Crystal Palace last season, Conor Gallagher is struggling for form.

While the midfielder can hardly be blamed for the Blues’ many problems this season, Gallagher is barely getting a kick and all the progress he made last season is at risk of going to waste.

According to Caught Offside, however, Palace are ready to offer him a lifeline.

They claim the Eagles will launch a move to sign Gallagher again between now and the end of the month.

Scott McTominay to stay at Manchester United

The arrival of Casemiro at Manchester United has seen Scott McTominay fall down the pecking order somewhat.

So much so, in fact, that the Scotland international has been linked with a move to Newcastle.

Still, according to Fabrizio Romano, there is little chance United will allow him to leave at this stage as Erik ten Hag plots a shock title challenge.

Arsenal offered Tottenham target Leandro Trossard

Leandro Trossard has made it pretty clear he’d like to leave Brighton this month after a public fall-out with manager Roberto De Zerbi.

The Belgian was left out of their huge win over Liverpool over the course of the weekend and his agent has hit out at the Seagulls chief.

One of the Premier League’s form players before the World Cup, the attacker is of interest to Tottenham.

Still, according to the Independent, Trossard has been offered to Arsenal as they plot moves for signings in attacking areas.
